The city will be connected to Mumbai, the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, the Elephanta Caves, and Revas via water taxis that depart from Navi Mumbai in phases.

Belapur: Residents of Navi Mumbai can celebrate as water taxi services from Belapur jetty to the Gateway of India in South Mumbai begin on Tuesday, February 7.

Travel time between the two cities will be cut in half thanks to the water taxi service.

In approximately 60 minutes, one can travel from Belapur to southern Mumbai.

The Navi Mumbai water taxis will be operational in stages, linking the city to Mumbai,

the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, the Elephanta Caves, and Revas.

Seating capacity

Up to 140 people can ride in the water taxi “Nayan XI” on the lower deck, and

an additional 60 people can ride in the “business class” section.

Timings of the water taxi

“At 8.30 am, the ship will leave Belapur and arrive at the Gateway of India at 9.30 am.

The water taxi will thereafter leave for Navi Mumbai at 6.30 p.m. and arrive at Belapur jetty

at 7.30 p.m “the operator’s statement was noted.

Tickets costing Rs 250 for the lower deck and Rs 350 for the upper or business class deck are offered on
