Mumbai, August 3, 2025 – A tragic incident has shaken the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay community as a 23‑year‑old student died after falling from the 10th floor of his hostel building on Sunday morning.

According to initial reports, hostel residents were alarmed after hearing a loud noise from the courtyard. Security personnel immediately rushed to the spot and alerted emergency services. Despite efforts to save him, the student was declared dead at a nearby hospital.
