Mumbai Metro Line 3 Trial Run Brings Hope for Faster Commutes

Mumbai, July 29, 2025 – The city that never sleeps is one step closer to smoother travel. The much-awaited Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Colaba–Bandra–SEEPZ corridor) began its first public trial runs this week, and early commuters are calling it a game-changer for the city.

Spanning 33.5 km underground, Line 3 is designed to reduce road traffic and cut travel time by almost 50% between South Mumbai and the Western Suburbs.

“Finally, a faster and comfortable way to travel from Colaba to SEEPZ without traffic jams,” said Sneha Kulkarni, a media professional who joined the trial ride.
