Navi Mumbai Blind Murder Cracked in 11 Days, Two Accused Arrested is a trending topic covered by Sejal News Network with latest updates and insights.

In a major breakthrough, Navi Mumbai Police have successfully solved a “blind murder” case within just 11 days, arresting two accused after an intensive investigation. The case had initially posed a serious challenge due to the complete lack of clues and digital evidence.

The incident came to light on April 17, when the body of a 31-year-old man was found under a bridge near CBD Belapur, close to the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) headquarters. The victim had suffered fatal head injuries, reportedly caused by a heavy stone.

With no identification documents or immediate leads, police described the case as a “blind murder,” making it difficult to trace both the victim and the accused. To tackle this, multiple investigation teams were formed, and officials began scanning over 60 CCTV cameras in the surrounding area to track movements before the crime.

The victim was later identified as Akash Prakash Rathod (31), a daily wage labourer. Investigations revealed that he was known to the accused, and they often stayed together and had frequent arguments.

According to police findings, on the night of the incident, a minor dispute escalated, and while the victim was asleep, the two accused allegedly attacked him with a stone, leading to his death.

The accused have been identified as Subhash Dhurve (27) and Arvind Sakpal alias Raja (35). One was arrested in Mumbai near Cotton Green, while the other had fled to Pune, where he was later tracked and apprehended.

Despite the absence of mobile usage or digital trails, police relied heavily on ground intelligence, informants, and CCTV analysis, which ultimately helped crack the case. Both accused are currently in police custody, and further investigation is ongoing.

This case highlights the efficiency of Navi Mumbai Police in solving complex crimes even without technological evidence, relying instead on traditional investigative methods and teamwork.

The message is clear — even the most challenging “blind” cases can be solved with persistence, strategy, and strong field intelligence.
