Written by Ankita Chakravarti Finally, Elon Musk has hired a CEO for Twitter. It’s interesting that a dog, not a human, is the new CEO of Twitter. He is Shiba Inu Floki, Musk’s pet dog.
The brand-new CEO of Twitter believes that his dog Floki would make a superior CEO to the “other person,” Parag Agrawal.
Notably, Musk terminated Agarwal as soon as he acquired control of the business in a $44 billion purchase.
Twitter’s CFO Nel Segal and head of legal Vijaya Gadde were also let go, along with Agrawal.
Musk posted a photo of Floki, his Shiba Inu dog, perched on the CEO’s chair.
In the image, Floki is wearing a black T-shirt bearing the Twitter logo and the words CEO.
A few papers bearing his paw prints are also spread out in front of him on the table.
In case Floki needs to send an urgent email, he keeps a little laptop with the Twitter logo in front of him.
Musk tweeted the image and said, “The new CEO of Twitter is awesome.” He stated that the new Twitter CEO is far superior to the “previous” guy in a subsequent tweet.
He is making reference to Parag Agrawal, the former CEO of Twitter.
Musk had a few conversations with Agrawal as well, and it was obvious that there was no goodwill even before the acquisition process got underway.
Musk had referred to joining the Twitter board as a “waste of time” in one of his texts to Agrawal.
“What did you accomplish this week? I’m not a board member. Time is being wasted on this. a proposal to take Twitter private, “He read Agrawal his text.
Even the former head of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, received emails from Musk outlining his communications with Agrawal.
According to the leaked discussions, Dorsey attempted to connect Musk and Agrawal, but things didn’t go according to plan. He stated:
“We are in total agreement, you and I… Simply put, Parag is moving too slowly and making efforts to appease individuals who will never be satisfied.
” “At least it became evident that you can’t work together,” Dorsey retorted.
After outgoing CEO Jack Dorsey resigned from his position in November of last year, Agrawal was elevated to the position.
His $30.4 million total salary for 2021 was paid to him in stock awards. Agrawal’s ten-year affiliation with the company came to an end with his dismissal.
He had joined Twitter when it had less than 1000 employees and was still in its infancy.
