Waterlogging and Traffic Snarls

Mumbai continues to experience waterlogging in key areas, slowing down traffic across major roads. Commuters are advised to plan their routes carefully to avoid delays.

Massive Beach Clean-up Underway

Over the past nine days, the BMC has efficiently cleared 952 metric tons of waste from Mumbai’s beaches—Juhu, Dadar-Mahim, Versova, Girgaon, and others—deploying 380 staff and several machines to tackle debris washed ashore by recent rains.

Fire Incident in Malad High-rise

A fire broke out on the 12th floor of a 22-storey building in Malad East due to an oil lamp accident. The prompt response by the fire brigade ensured the blaze was extinguished without injuries. However, officials raised concern over the building’s non-functional safety systems.
