Following the success of ‘Pathaan.
Siddharth Anand was quick to move forward. He’s jumped right into the ‘Fighter’ shoot. “We just finished the third schedule; the first was in Assam, the second in Kashmir, and the last in Hyderabad.
“The film is still in its early stages, but we are on our way to creating something special,” says the director.
He will re-team with Deepika Padukone for ‘Fighter,’ promising to show her in a completely different role. “In ‘Pathaan,’ she played a spy, and in ‘Fighter,’ she plays an air force officer,” Siddharth explains. She is portraying an authentic, rooted character, and her research has been fantastic.
Deepika excels at portraying real-life characters.
Although her role in ‘Pathaan’ was commercially extravagant, in ‘Fighter,’ she is very authentic, doing a lot of action and crazy stuff.”
When asked about bringing in his favourite actor, Hrithik Roshan, Siddharth says, “Hrithik is very special to me, and we’ve been working for the last ten years!” We have a lot of chemistry; he can tell what I want by my actions and the expression on my face.
That energy between an actor and a director is unique. Hopefully, the audience will be treated to something new.”
