A part of social media has accused the actress of being “insecure.” Just hours before Alia Bhatt made her entrance at the MET Gala, Deepika Padukone leaked a number of images from her Oscars 2023 presentation, prompting the claims. Although Deepika was seen admiring Alia’s images from the fashion show, she has now become a supporter of the model.
The Cocktail actress was seen leaving a comment on Alia’s photo showcasing the Gala’s backstage action. Vogue released a video on Friday detailing Alia’s preparations for her MET Gala debut, from her initial response to the regal attire through her donning the dress and travelling to the event.
Deepika took to the comments section below and celebrated Alia’s debut. “You did it!❤️” wrote Deepika in the comments, squishing all the speculations that she is ‘insecure.’
Even though Alia hasn’t yet responded, Deepika’s statement made it to Reddit, where the users weren’t impressed. Many consumers believed it to be purely damage control.
