In a surprising turn after their recent public war of words, yoga guru Baba Ramdev has extended an olive branch to actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Ramdev said he was sending Kangana a gift and sweets and would also call her to wish her on the festival. His message came with a broader appeal for people to move away from hatred and hostility and resolve disagreements through dialogue.

From a Public Clash to a Raksha Bandhan Gesture

The gesture is particularly notable because Ramdev and Kangana had recently been involved in a heated exchange. Their disagreement became a major talking point after Ramdev criticised remarks made by Kangana, leading to a sharp response from the actor-politician.

But on Raksha Bandhan, Ramdev appeared to strike a completely different tone.

He said he was sending the gift and sweets to Kangana as a gesture of goodwill and stressed that differences should not turn into permanent hostility. According to him, disputes should be resolved through conversation rather than bitterness.

“There Should Be No Hatred”

Ramdev used the occasion to make a wider appeal for social harmony. He said there should be no hatred or hostility among people for any reason and called for an end to discrimination and divisions based on caste or community.

He also spoke about the significance of Raksha Bandhan as a festival built around affection, protection and mutual respect.

A Message of Reconciliation?

While it remains to be seen whether Kangana will publicly respond to the gesture, Ramdev’s move marks a clear shift from the tense exchange between the two earlier this week.

The Raksha Bandhan gift has now added an unexpected chapter to their recent dispute—turning a public war of words into a moment centred on reconciliation and social harmony.
