Yash’s much-awaited return to the big screen has made a strong impact at the box office. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has crossed the ₹200 crore India net milestone within just five days of its theatrical release, despite a gradual decline in daily collections after its massive opening.
The film, which features an ensemble cast including Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth, earned around ₹23 crore net in India on its fifth day, taking its total domestic net collection to approximately ₹214.10 crore.
A Strong Start, Followed by a Gradual Slowdown
Toxic opened to massive numbers and crossed the ₹100 crore India net mark on its first day itself. However, the film’s collections have seen a decline over the following days.
Despite the downward trend in daily earnings, the overall five-day total remains impressive. The film managed to cross ₹200 crore in India during its extended opening weekend, proving that Yash continues to command significant box-office pull across multiple markets.
Day 5 Collection Takes Total Beyond ₹214 Crore
According to the latest box office estimates, Toxic collected around ₹23 crore net on Day 5.
This pushed the film’s India net collection to approximately ₹214.10 crore. The movie’s worldwide gross is also reported to be nearing the ₹300 crore milestone, with estimates placing the five-day global total at around ₹285 crore.
Hindi Version Leads the Collections
Interestingly, reports suggest that the Hindi version of Toxic has emerged as the biggest contributor to the film’s box-office performance so far.
The strong response outside Karnataka highlights the pan-India appeal of Yash following the enormous success of the KGF franchise. The film was released across multiple languages, allowing it to reach audiences in several major markets simultaneously.
How Does Toxic Compare With KGF Chapter 2?
While Toxic has crossed the ₹200 crore mark quickly, it is still behind Yash’s previous blockbuster, KGF: Chapter 2, in terms of its five-day India net performance.
Reports indicate that KGF Chapter 2 had collected significantly more during the same period. However, Toxic is still in its theatrical run, and its performance over the coming weekdays will determine how far it can go.
A Big Milestone for Yash’s Comeback
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups marks Yash’s major return to cinemas after nearly four years. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster drama arrived with enormous expectations and one of the most talked-about star casts of the year.
Crossing ₹200 crore net in India within five days is undoubtedly a significant achievement. However, with daily collections showing signs of slowing down, the film’s performance during its first full week will now be closely watched.
For now, Toxic has successfully entered the ₹200 crore club in India—and Yash’s comeback remains one of the biggest box-office stories of 2026.
