Women, the central figures of the festival, play a pivotal role by carrying exquisitely adorned idols of Goddess Parvati on their heads through the bustling streets. These idols, embellished with vibrant flowers and intricate ornaments, serve as the focal point of reverence and admiration during the procession.

Among these customs, women partake in the creation of clay idols representing Parvati and Shiva, affectionately termed as “Gangaur Mata” and “Isar” respectively. The idols are then reverently worshipped, accompanied by offerings of delectable sweets, succulent fruits, and other traditional delicacies, symbolizing gratitude and devotion towards the divine.
