Jharsuguda District, Odisha — At a time when regional art forms struggle to survive in the fast-changing digital world, Manoj Singh has emerged as a powerful example of how vision, discipline, and cultural commitment can redefine an entire creative ecosystem. As the Founder of “Everything For You,” Manoj Singh is widely recognized for pioneering Western Odisha’s professional digital Sambalpuri music movement.
Manoj Singh’s story begins in a small village of Western Odisha, deeply rooted in art and cultural values. Coming from an artistic family, with his father actively involved in creative work, Manoj was naturally inclined toward expression, performance, and storytelling. Creativity surrounded him from childhood, shaping his mindset long before he entered the professional world.
After completing his 10th standard, Manoj made an unconventional choice. While many pursued traditional academic routes, he chose to follow his passion and enter the artistic field full-time. At the same time, he ensured he was not limited to creativity alone. He completed a Civil Diploma and gained professional expertise in Computer Networking and Hardware, building a strong technical foundation that later became crucial in the digital era.
Manoj’s early professional career revolved around dance and choreography. As a choreographer and dance teacher, he led a dance group and trained 30 to 40 students for competitions, stage performances, and music albums. This phase gave him in-depth practical experience in movement, timing, expressions, and teamwork—skills that naturally transitioned into his role as a director.
His initial ambition was to grow within the Sambalpuri music industry as a choreographer. However, around 2010, the industry faced a massive disruption. Piracy and the collapse of CDs and cassettes pushed Sambalpuri music production into stagnation. Western Odisha, in particular, lacked professional direction, digital infrastructure, and platforms for artists.
Seeing this vacuum, Manoj Singh took a bold step that would change the region’s creative landscape. He founded “Everything For You,” Western Odisha’s first major professional YouTube channel dedicated to Sambalpuri content. At a time when digital platforms were still largely unexplored locally, this initiative provided a lifeline to artists and helped Sambalpuri music transition into the digital age.
As a director, Manoj Singh is known for his strong sense of responsibility toward culture. He believes that visual innovation should never dilute cultural authenticity. His work consistently reflects a balance between modern cinematic presentation and traditional Sambalpuri values, ensuring that the cultural essence remains intact.
In recent years, Manoj has taken another courageous creative decision. Observing that many songs repeatedly focus on similar romantic narratives, he has committed himself to exploring new, meaningful, and unconventional themes. He openly acknowledges that such experiments may divide opinions but firmly believes that originality is essential for artistic growth.
Among his many projects, the song “Ek Number” holds special emotional value. When Manoj could not find an artist capable of delivering the required emotional depth, he chose to act in the song himself while also directing it. The experience of stepping in front of the camera allowed him to connect deeply with the character and the story, making it one of the most personal works of his career.
Manoj Singh strongly advocates technical completeness in direction. He emphasizes that a modern director must understand choreography, camera work, makeup, editing, color grading, and overall visual flow. He advises young filmmakers to approach the industry with patience, discipline, and proper training rather than relying on shortcuts or trends.
Today, Manoj Singh stands as a symbol of resilience and innovation in Western Odisha’s creative industry. Through dedication, vision, and respect for cultural roots, he continues to guide Sambalpuri music toward a future that is both globally relevant and deeply authentic.
