Mumbai [India], September 10: Hanuman Ansh has turned into one of the biggest surprise success stories of 2026, continuing its remarkable theatrical run well into its fifth week. The Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand-starrer added an estimated ₹10.25 crore net on Day 34, taking its total India net collection to ₹153.13 crore, according to figures reported by Sacnilk and cited by Times of India.

What makes the film’s box office journey particularly striking is that it did not begin like a conventional blockbuster. After a modest opening and a sluggish first couple of weeks, the devotional biographical drama gradually gained momentum through strong word of mouth. It has now reached a stage where it is consistently collecting around ₹10 crore or more even after completing more than a month in theatres.

Hanuman Ansh Day 34 Collection: ₹10.25 Crore

On its 34th day, Hanuman Ansh recorded an estimated ₹10.25 crore net collection in India from around 7,810 shows. The film registered overall occupancy of approximately 35% on Wednesday.

The Day 34 figure represents a 4.7% decline compared with the previous day’s reported collection of ₹10.75 crore. Despite the drop, the film managed to maintain double-digit earnings, which is a notable achievement for a movie in its fifth week.

With Wednesday’s earnings added, the film’s India net collection stands at ₹153.13 crore, while its India gross collection has reached approximately ₹180.95 crore. The movie has also officially crossed the ₹150 crore net milestone domestically.

From a Slow Start to a Box Office Sensation

Hanuman Ansh had a surprisingly quiet beginning at the box office.

The film opened with just ₹10 lakh on its first day, followed by ₹20 lakh on Saturday and ₹30 lakh on Sunday. Its first week ended with a modest ₹1.08 crore. The second week was even weaker, contributing only around ₹40 lakh to the overall collection.

However, the film’s fortunes changed dramatically during its third week.

The third week brought in ₹10.40 crore, setting the stage for a much bigger fourth week. The film then exploded at the box office, earning an impressive ₹61 crore during Week 4 alone.

The fourth weekend proved particularly strong, with Sunday alone contributing ₹12.75 crore. The movie’s growing occupancy and increasing number of shows indicated that audience demand was continuing to rise rather than fall.

Fifth Week Continues to Impress

The momentum has carried into the fifth week.

Hanuman Ansh opened its fifth week with ₹10 crore on Friday, followed by ₹16.50 crore on Saturday and an impressive ₹22.75 crore on Sunday. The film then collected ₹10 crore on Monday and ₹10.75 crore on Tuesday before adding another ₹10.25 crore on Day 34.

The Sunday figure of ₹22.75 crore is especially noteworthy because it demonstrates that the film is still attracting substantial audiences even after more than 30 days in theatres.

According to the reported occupancy figures, the movie reached 73% occupancy on its fifth Sunday, before settling at around 35% on Wednesday.

What Is Hanuman Ansh About?

Directed, written and produced by Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is a devotional biographical drama based on the life and teachings of spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba.

The film follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young boy living in pre-Independence India. After suffering the loss of his mother, he leaves his home in search of God. His journey takes him across different parts of North India and eventually leads to his transformation into Neem Karoli Baba.

The film is reportedly planned as the first instalment of a trilogy inspired by Chaturvedi’s book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life. Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand lead the cast.

₹2 Crore Budget, Massive Returns

One of the biggest talking points surrounding Hanuman Ansh is its reported production budget.

The film was made on a budget of around ₹2 crore, making its current box office performance extraordinary in terms of return on investment. Earlier reports had highlighted how the film managed to cross ₹100 crore despite having no major Bollywood star in the traditional commercial sense.

At ₹153.13 crore net in India, the film has now collected more than 75 times its reported production budget in domestic net revenue, although box-office collection and producer profit are not the same thing.

Can Hanuman Ansh Reach ₹200 Crore?

With the film still earning around ₹10 crore per day during its fifth week, the next major question is whether Hanuman Ansh can push towards the ₹200 crore mark.

India Today’s latest report also noted that the film’s strong fifth-week performance has put the ₹200 crore gross milestone within reach. Its reported India gross currently stands at ₹180.95 crore.

Whether it ultimately reaches that figure will depend on how well the film holds in the coming days and how its screen count changes. Nevertheless, its journey from a ₹10 lakh opening day to more than ₹153 crore in India net collections has already made Hanuman Ansh one of the most unexpected theatrical success stories of the year.
