WhatsApp read receipts allow users to know whether the message is delivered or read by the receiver.
A single tick denotes that the message is sent successfully, whereas a double tick means whether the
message is delivered to the recipient’s phone.
The blue double tick, on the other hand, shows that the message has been read by the receiver.
But there may be occasions when you do not want to open the chat to read a message and do not want
the sender to know if you have read the message.
Do you also want to be able to read WhatsApp messages privately or without alerting the sender?
If so, the following tip might be useful.
Do note that the method works for Android smartphone users only. Here is a detailed instruction.

1- Long press on the home page of your Android smartphone
2- Next, tap on ‘Widgets’. All app widgets will appear on the screen
3- Scroll down to find the WhatsApp widget. Tap on it
4- The widget will be added to your phone’s home screen
5- Tap ‘Done’.
6- Now, long press the widget and move it on top
Once the widget has been successfully configured, chat messages will be aligned according to the WhatsApp app.
Here, you can read complete messages.
To avoid opening WhatsApp chat and having a double blue tick appear next to any message, avoid
pressing on any chat.
Users will be able to share voice messages on their statuses thanks to a number of new features that
WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is rolling out.
The ring will be visible around profile pictures in the Chat list and other locations once it has been shared.
One such innovation allows users to express their emotions to loved ones with only a tap thanks to the
addition of new status reactions by the Meta-owned company.
