MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, has played in 234 IPL games and amassed 4,978 runs at an average of 39.2 with 24 fifty-plus runs at a strike rate of 135.2.

Rohit Sharma made his Twenty20 International début at the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, sixteen years ago. Yuvraj Singh’s six sixes against Stuart Broad of England made the game legendary. When the Mumbai Indians play their bitter foes, the Chennai Super Kings, in Match No. 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on April 8, Rohit and Dhoni will face off against one another for the first time.

There have been some rumours that MS Dhoni may be participating in the IPL for the last time this year. However, Dhoni’s IPL tenure, in the opinion of MI and Team India captain Rohit, is far from over.

“I’m not sure if this will be Dhoni’s final campaign. That is something I have heard for the past few seasons. I believe he is healthy enough to compete for at least a few more seasons, Rohit said to the media on Wednesday in Mumbai. (March 29).

Dhoni, a former India captain and wicketkeeper, left international cricket in 2020 at the age of 41. Ravindra Jadeja briefly took over as CSK captain from him, but he soon took it back.

Dhoni has scored 4,978 runs at an average of 39.2 in 234 IPL games, with 24 fifty-plus runs at a strike rate of 135.2. Shane Watson, a current member of CSK and a former Australian all-rounder, too shared his opinions on Dhoni’s impending IPL plans. “I’ve heard that MS Dhoni’s final IPL season is this one, but I doubt it. MS Dhoni has three to four more years left in his playing career.

He is still in great shape and does a great job both batting and keeping wickets. His ability to lead is on par with his skill in sports. He makes a terrific leader because of his athleticism and ability to understand the game’s mentality. His on-the-ground abilities are outstanding. He is one of the key factors in CSK’s success, according to Watson, who spoke to the ANI news agency.

For the past 12 years, Rohit Sharma has been a member of the Mumbai Indians team. “10 years is a long time, and this team is associated with many fond memories for me. Over the years, we’ve played a lot of excellent cricket. First as a player, and now as a leader, I have had some incredible experiences with MI, Rohit remarked.
