Samsung’s 2025 foldable flagship — the Galaxy Z Fold 7 — is shaping up to be its most refined yet. Early leaks hint at a slimmer profile, improved durability, and battery enhancements that could win over skeptics of foldable tech.
According to sources in Samsung’s supply chain, the Z Fold 7 will be 15% thinner when folded, making it feel more like a traditional smartphone in the hand. The device is expected to feature Samsung’s latest Armor Aluminum 3.0 frame and a redesigned water-drop hinge, reducing the crease visibility on the inner display.
The foldable’s main 7.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display could also debut Corning’s new Gorilla Glass Flex, designed to withstand over 500,000 folds without damage.
On the battery front, Samsung may adopt stacked battery technology — similar to what’s used in electric vehicles — to pack more capacity into the slim design, potentially extending usage by 20%.
Performance upgrades are also expected with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Camera improvements might include a new under-display selfie camera and upgraded telephoto lens for sharper zoom shots.
Expected Announcement Galaxy Z Fold 7
Samsung typically unveils its foldables in July, so the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could debut in July 2025, with pre-orders opening the same day.
If these leaks hold true, the Z Fold 7 could be the breakthrough foldable that blends portability, power, and resilience into one sleek package.
