Undoubtedly one of the most recognisable and well-liked programmes on Indian television is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The show’s characters have a sizable fan base. Several members of the original cast have left the programme over the years, yet this hasn’t diminished its appeal. Tapu recently returned to the show after a lengthy break, and it appears that nobody is particularly pleased.
Significantly, Raj Anadkat, who played Tapu in the well-known show, left the production in December of last year. He began appearing on the programme in 2017. The creators of TMKOC eventually located their Tapu in Nitish Bhaluni after a little absence. Netizens, though, are unimpressed. To read, scroll down!
Once the original Tapu, Bhavya Gandhi, quit the show, Raj continued the performance for many years. The producers have now cast Nitish Bhaluni as Tapu after he decided to leave Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltaah Chashmah. He was welcomed with open arms by Tapu Gang and his on-screen father, Jethalal, played by Dilip Joshi. “Hamare liye toh Tapu, Tapu hai, naye actor aaye hai, uss character ke liye,” he remarked. All the best, main toh bus itna hi kahunga ki. The replacement, though, hasn’t exactly pleased the fans, and they responded quickly.
Ab kuch nhi raha show mai dekhne layak bas Jethalal ki wajah se hi thika hua hai was the fast response of another.
“Yaar ab show band kar do, kyun hi kheech rahe ho faltu mai,” said the performer.
“Sorry, Yaar ab mujhe nhi dekhna… Despite the fact that ab is Tapu ke saath, it is impossible, jetha bhai bas aapke liye hi show dekhta that.
Bye-bye, tata, khatam.
