Mumbai [India], October 19: Mumbai Police are investigating whether the assailants who opened fire at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Juhu had conducted reconnaissance before the attack. Investigators are also examining leads regarding the suspects’ escape route, including reports that they may have fled towards Gujarat.
The firing took place on Sunday evening near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu, where Shroff had reportedly gone to play football. The attackers allegedly targeted the actor’s car as he was leaving the area. Shroff survived the incident, while his driver sustained a gunshot injury. Another person nearby was also reported to have been injured.
Attackers May Have Studied Actor’s Routine
Investigators suspect that the assailants may have known about Shroff’s regular football sessions and planned the attack around his movements. Police are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area to establish whether the suspects visited the location before the shooting.
The investigation is focused on identifying the individuals involved, reconstructing their movements and determining whether the attack was planned in advance. Officers are also examining footage showing the suspects’ movements before and after the incident.
Motorcycle Used in Escape Traced
The suspects reportedly fled on a motorcycle after the shooting. Investigators have traced the two-wheeler and are examining its registration details, chassis number and previous ownership records to identify those who used it.
Police teams are also analysing CCTV footage and other available evidence to establish the suspects’ route. The possibility that they travelled towards Gujarat is among the leads being examined, although their current whereabouts have not been independently confirmed.
Gang’s Claim of Responsibility Under Verification
A social media post and an audio message attributed to individuals claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have circulated following the incident. The authenticity of these claims and the alleged gang connection remain under investigation.
Police are working to establish the motive behind the shooting and whether it was connected to any threats or disputes involving the actor. The claims circulating online have not, by themselves, established who was responsible.
Police Intensify Search for Suspects
