Mumbai [India], September 21: The musical world of Sooraj R. Barjatya’s upcoming family entertainer Yeh Prem Mol Liya has officially begun taking shape, with the film’s title track unveiled through a special live musical evening at Mumbai’s iconic Royal Opera House. Composer and singer Himesh Reshammiya performed the song with a 25-member orchestra on September 20, giving the film a distinctly traditional musical launch rather than following the usual digital-first release route.
The makers, Rajshri Productions and Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, had earlier released a motion poster offering audiences a first glimpse of the title track. Instead of simply releasing the song online, the team chose to build the launch around a live performance, with Reshammiya taking centre stage alongside the musicians at the Royal Opera House.
The event also marks an important point in the promotional campaign for Yeh Prem Mol Liya, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari in their first film together. The film is directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films. It is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 27, 2026.
Music is expected to play a central role in the film. Himesh Reshammiya has composed the soundtrack, with reports indicating that the album features seven songs. The music has been developed around a brief focused on simple, soulful and accessible compositions, in keeping with the emotional and family-oriented setting associated with Barjatya’s cinema.
The collaboration also brings Reshammiya and Barjatya together again after their earlier association on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Their reunion adds another layer of interest to the soundtrack, particularly because Yeh Prem Mol Liya is being presented as a musical family entertainer where songs are expected to contribute significantly to the storytelling.
The title track itself has now been officially released, with Shreya Ghoshal and Nihal Tauro lending their voices. Reshammiya has composed the music, while Kumaar has written the lyrics. Meghdeep Bose has handled the music arrangement and production.
The song carries the romantic and celebratory mood of the film, with its lyrics centred on openly embracing love and the emotions surrounding marriage and togetherness. The composition combines a traditional Hindi-film romantic sensibility with a large-scale musical arrangement, fitting the tone that the makers have been establishing for the project.
For Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, the film marks a new on-screen pairing. Their first collaboration is being presented within Barjatya’s familiar world of relationships, family and romance. The decision to introduce the film’s music before a conventional promotional rollout also puts considerable focus on the soundtrack as an important part of the film’s identity.
The choice of the Royal Opera House for the launch further connected the film with a more classic presentation of Hindi-film music. Rather than relying solely on a digital song drop, the makers created a live event around the title track, with Reshammiya performing in front of an audience accompanied by the orchestra.
The film is expected to continue its promotional campaign in the coming weeks as its November theatrical release approaches. With the title track now out, audiences have received the first substantial taste of the musical direction of Yeh Prem Mol Liya and the romantic, family-focused world being created by Barjatya and his team.
