A sequel to Kareena Kapoor’s 2009 comedy-drama 3 Idiots, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, and R. Madhavan as three best friends, is rumoured to be in the works.
The actress expressed her concern about a 3 Idiots sequel being developed without her in it in an Instagram post on Friday. The image of Aamir, Sharman, and Madhavan from the “press conference” in the video has the words “3 Idiots” inscribed behind them.
“This is unbelievable! Have they kept this a secret from you as well? @boman irani How can they do this without me?,” Kareena wrote accompanying the video.
In the video, Kareena claims that the three appeared to announce a 3 Idiots sequel while she was away on holiday. I just learned that these three were up to something while I was on holiday. This press conference ka clip is from the information that these three are withholding from us. Please refrain from claiming that this is a promotion for Sharman ka. I believe they intend to do a sequel. But without me, just these three? Even Boman may not be aware of this. Contact Boman right now to enquire about the status of the third challenge. This definitely has the odour of a sequel, the actress claims.
Following Kareena, the actor who portrayed the role of Virus in the movie, Boman Irani, posted a video on Instagram in which he can be seen clearly furious over the prospect of a sequel that won’t feature him.
“How are they going to film a third idiots movie without Virus? He tweeted beside the video, “Virus villain nahi hoga toh kaun hoga, aur kya hi hoga??
