Cheteshwar Pujara’s unbeaten 31 helped India successfully chase a 115-run mark.

India won the second test against Australia by a margin of six wickets, keeping the Border Gavaskar trophy. Cheteshwar Pujara’s unbeaten 31 helped India to chase down a score of 115 in the fourth innings. In the course of the match, Virat Kohli set a record for the fastest hitter to achieve 25,000 runs in an international game.

India now has a 2-0 unbeatable lead in the four-match series after this victory.

A seven-wicket performance from Ravindra Jadeja and three from Ravichandran Ashwin helped the hosts bowl out Australia for 113 runs earlier. Australia lost wickets steadily as the game continued on Sunday with a score of 61 for 1 as Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin teamed to wreak havoc.

In the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Jadeja took a game-high 7/42, while Ravichandran Ashwin added three more wickets as India easily won. After the squad completed the goal-scoring chase with 6 wickets remaining, Cheteshwar Pujara led the way with an unbeaten 31.

Five of Jadeja’s seven wickets were bowled out, which is a record in and of itself because no spinner has accomplished this feat in nearly 21 years. Go back to the previous time Anil Kumble performed this manoeuvre against South Africa in Johannesburg in 1992.

Early in the session, Ashwin got a wicket, reducing Australia to 65/2. The partnership of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne then advanced the innings, scoring 20 more runs until Ashwin dismissed Smith for only nine. After just 19 overs, Australia’s score reached 85/3.

KL Rahul was the first one to leave during the run chase because the opener fell on 1 after failing to make an impact once more. After that, Rohit Sharma scored 31 runs quickly before getting dismissed because of an argument with Cheteshwar Pujara. In the end, Pujara led India to victory while scoring the go-ahead runs. He finished unbeaten on 31 runs.
