According to authorities, a 55-year-old man was detained on Sunday for fatally stabbing his roommate at a lodge in Vasai, Maharashtra.

According to a police officer, the victim, Radhakrishnan Venkatraman (58), was a sideline singer who slept in the same bunk bed as the accused, Raju Shah, at the travelers’ lodge.

According to him, Venkatraman and Shah got into a fight on Saturday. On Sunday, the situation apparently got worse, and as a result, Shah allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Venkatraman.

The person was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead, the officer continued.
