The actor Shubham Patil remembers bringing Bappa home as a little boy to persuade his parents to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. They have continued to observe the customs ever since for seven days in their hometown of Sangli.

The actor Shubham Patil claimed that as a child, he urged his parents celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi by bringing Bappa home, and ever since, they have observed the rites. I recall that we used to worship Ganpati Bappa at home, but we never held a lavish festival celebration, the man recalled. As a child, after witnessing the elaborate celebration at my neighbor’s home, I insisted that my parents start maintaining a Ganesha idol in my home.

I now spend seven days in my hometown of Sangli each year with my parents to celebrate the holidays. Shubham has recently joined the cast of the next Marathi film “Mandvvel,” which stars well-known actor and poet Kishor Kadam. Shubham previously appeared in the TV series “Crime Patrol.” The actor went on to say that, as a Maratha, the holiday is extremely important to their culture and way of life. Bal Gangadhar Tilak, a freedom warrior, began public Ganesh Chaturthi festivities in 1893 to oppose the British, and it was thanks to Bappa that we were able to regain our independence.

He continued by saying he likes the spirit of fraternity. “Today, everyone is preoccupied with their daily lives. The event serves as the bridge that unites us. Our friends, family, and extended family gather at our house to celebrate the arrival of Bappa, which gives the place a really happy atmosphere. “Lord Ganesha was a popular deity worshipped across,” he continued. And Ganesh Chaturthi continued to be a domestic holiday. In order to unite India against the British, freedom warrior Bal Gangadhar Tilak changed the festival from a private celebration to a large-scale public event in 1893. By removing barriers, Lord Ganesha also helped the populace develop a sense of patriotism. Therefore, the holiday is very important to us.
