On April 27, in Mumbai, Mohd Danish, one of the Indian Idol 12 finalists who later appeared in the reality series Superstar Singers 2, got married to Farheen Faridi.
A day later, the singer hosted a wedding reception for his business associates.
The sister of Bollywood playback artist Shadab Faridi, Danish’s wife Farheen was the bride in an arranged marriage. Shadab Faridi rose to fame after singing the Sultan theme song for Salman Khan.
Danish states, “My parents had already been planning my marriage to Farheen before I competed on Indian Idol 12.
” A few months ago, we got engaged. Our parents organised everything because we come from a very traditional family in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
People will be surprised to learn that I had never met my wife and had only ever seen her in photographs.
As a result, now that we are married, I am getting to know her. Farheen is from a musical household as well. She just received her diploma, whereas I moved to Mumbai to further my musical career.
In fact, my brother-in-law Shadab’s success on a music reality show prompted me to take part in reality television.
He commented in relation to his wife having seen him on Indian Idol 12: “Farheen has seen me perform on season 12 of Indian Idol. She approves of my performances and is helpful.”
