Navi Mumbai Fire ( Ghansoli ) :A major fire broke out at a bamboo godown in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai, on ( 26 March 2026 3:20 PM )Thursday afternoon, creating panic in the surrounding area. Thick smoke and intense flames were visible from a distance as the blaze quickly spread across the warehouse.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 3:45 PM in a warehouse located in Sector 15, where large quantities of bamboo and decoration materials were stored.

Fire Spreads Rapidly Due to Bamboo Storage

The fire intensified within minutes due to the highly combustible materials inside the godown, including bamboo, cloth, and plastic decoration items.

Eyewitnesses reported heavy smoke engulfing the area, raising concerns among nearby residents as several residential buildings are located close to the site.

Firefighters Rush to Control the Blaze

At least five fire engines were immediately dispatched to the spot after the fire brigade received the alert. Firefighters worked continuously for nearly two hours to bring the situation under control and prevent the flames from spreading to nearby structures.

Officials confirmed that the fire was eventually contained after sustained efforts.
