In a major corruption crackdown in Navi Mumbai, a senior civic official has landed in legal trouble after being caught allegedly accepting a bribe. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC) of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, marking a significant development in ongoing efforts to curb corruption in civic administration.
According to officials, the accused officer was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹42,000 from a subcontractor.
