In addition, water supply will also be affected in the CIDCO-administered nodes of Kharghar and Kamothe.

Major Water Pipeline Maintenance Work

The NMMC has scheduled several important maintenance activities, including the installation of butterfly valves and sluice valves at key locations.

The planned works include installing a 400 mm butterfly valve near Moraj Circle in Sanpada, a 250 mm sluice valve near Samana Press in Sanpada Sector 30, and another 250 mm sluice valve near Satra Plaza in Vashi Sector 19, close to the APMC Market.

A 700 mm butterfly valve will be installed on the distribution pipeline in Vashi Sector 29. Work will also be undertaken at the Belapur Sector 28 pump house, where a 700 mm inlet butterfly valve will be installed.

At Killa Junction in Belapur Sector 15, the civic body will install a 900 mm butterfly valve on the distribution pipeline connected to the Morbe main water pipeline. Additionally, four flow meters will be installed on the distribution pipeline connected to the 800 mm main water pipeline near Shiravane village.

Water Supply May Be at Low Pressure on November 4

The civic body has also cautioned residents that water supply on Wednesday morning, November 4, may be available at reduced pressure following the completion of the maintenance work.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to store sufficient water in advance and use it carefully during the shutdown period.

The NMMC has appealed to citizens to cooperate with the administration and avoid unnecessary water consumption until normal supply is restored.
