Apple, a US-based manufacturer of iPhones, has indicated that it is continually growing its operations in India and that the government is in constant contact with the company to support its activities.

He claimed that the way the electronics industry operates is that it first installs a basic setup before continually finding new components to add to its ecosystem.

“Apple’s business operations in India are continually growing. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeITY), with whom we frequently communicate, is also in contact with Apple.

We hold their hands because, in a sense, the entire world is focused on Apple, “When asked about Apple’s intention to launch a full-fledged manufacturing facility in India, he responded.

The minister had claimed that India’s exports of electronics and mobile devices had increased in the previous year.

According to him, “Apple itself exported goods from India worth around $5 billion last year, and they intend to have 25% of their global output come out of India in the next 4 or 5 years.”

According to the India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA), the country’s exports of mobile phones increased from Rs 45,000 crore in FY22 to over Rs 90,000 crore in the financial year (FY) 2022–23.
