ceremony, including the floral decoration of the whole temple complex.

One of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Shri Kedarnath Dham, will have its doors opened on April 25 according to a

statement made at a programme held at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath.

The day of the doors opening is traditionally chosen on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri.

Shri Kedarnath Temple’s kapat is currently closed for the year, however visitors can still get holy blessings at Omkareshwar Temple’s winter residence.

The Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) had made exceptional arrangements for the ceremony, including the floral decoration of the whole temple complex.

Religious rites for Shivratri began early in the morning at the Omkareshwar temple.

The temple priests gave bhog and Mahabhishek Puja in the sanctum sanctorum after bathing and dressing God.

Following this, Vedpathi Panchag announced the day Kedarnath Dham’s doors will open.

The employees, students, and “Mahila Mangal Dal” of the temple committee will continue to sing bhajans throughout the day on the grounds of the Omkareshwar temple.

Earlier, on the occasion of Basant Panchami, a special event was held at Rajmahal in Narendra Nagar to

establish the time and day for the opening of the well-known temple.

The following morning, April 27, the entrances to Shri Badrinath Dham would be opened.

One of the four ancient pilgrimage destinations known as the “Char Dham,” together with Yamunotri, Gangotri, and Kedarnath, is the Badrinath Dham.

It is located in the Uttarakhand town of Badrinath.

Every year, it is open for six months (between the end of April and the beginning of November).

The employees, students, and “Mahila Mangal Dal” of the temple committee will continue to sing bhajans

throughout the day on the grounds of the Omkareshwar temple.
