Raj Kundra Transforms into a Sikh Character in ‘Mehar’; Calls It the Most Life-Changing Role of His Career

Raj Kundra says playing Karamjeet Singh in Mehar helped him discover a deep emotional connection with Sikh values like Seva, Sabhar, and Sikhi.

Mumbai, July 28, 2025 – Actor and entrepreneur Raj Kundra has taken a bold leap in his cinematic journey with his latest film Mehar, where he portrays the role of a Sikh man named Karamjeet Singh. The actor recently unveiled the film’s first-look poster and penned a heartfelt note describing the experience as “one of the most transformative of his life.”

Taking to Instagram, Raj shared his deep emotional journey through the character. “From Raj to Karamjeet Singh – a journey I’ll never forget,” he wrote. “He’s not just a character; he’s a man of deep emotions, unwavering love for his family, and quiet strength in the face of adversity.”

Raj emphasized how the role connected him spiritually and emotionally to Sikh values. “He reminded me of the values we sometimes forget in the rush of life — Seva, Sabhar, and Sikhi. This film gave me more than a role, it gave me a renewed respect and pride in the Sikh way of life,” he added.

He also extended his gratitude to his team, saying, “To Geeta Basra, my co-star and dear friend – thank you for your grace and authenticity. To our producers Divya Bhatnagar and Raghu Khanna, and to the entire crew – from spot boys to costume designers – tuhada dilon shukriya.”

Directed by Rakesh Mehta, Mehar features an ensemble cast including Geeta Basra, Baninder Bunny, Ashish Duggal, Savita Bhatti, and Master Agamveer Singh. The film is slated for release on September 5, 2025.

Concluding his note with spiritual fervor, Raj wrote, “#Mehar is not just a film. It’s a blessing. Waheguru Mehar Kare.”

Apart from Mehar, Kundra is also working on two upcoming films where he will continue to explore emotionally rich characters, further cementing his transition from businessman to serious actor.
