Yash Raj Films has been sharing iconic dialogues from their utterly-butterly romantic films such as Dil To Pagal Hai, Kabhi Kabhie, and Veer-Zaara in the form of diary entries in a series of Instagram posts over the last week.

By Raya Ghosh: ‘Tis the day to discuss sachcha pyaar, ishq, mohabbat and all of that; basically, matters of the heart, that might be mushkil but you know this for sure that love will find a way, right? Yes, it will. No two ways about it. And, what could be better than reaffirming this fact on Valentine’s Day! Well, irrespective of whether you are single, taken, or just not interested in this celebration of love, here’s something that might just delight you, especially if you’re a romantic filmy-keeda.

In a series of Instagram posts over the past one week, Yash Raj Films has been sharing iconic dialogues from their utterly-butterly romantic films such as Dil To Pagal Hai, Kabhi Kabhie and Veer-Zaara in the form of diary entries. We must tell you here that it ain’t any aisa-waisa diary but is titled, “From the diary of a hopeless romantic”.

Aside: These posts are pure magic, of course, and might just reinstate your faith in love if you are battling dil ka dard. And, kyun nahi? After all, most of us end up at the filmy darbaar to nurse broken hearts. But, let’s try and not discuss dukh, dard and peeda today, at the very least.

Cut to the Bollywood diary of a “hopeless romantic”, here you go.

Meri Pyaari Bindu

Love, as pure as Abhi felt for Bindu. Well, that’s the kind of ishq Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra’s Meri Pyaari Bindu is all about. And as YRF’s caption for this post reads, “Manifesting a love as perfect as Abhi’s for everyone who reads this”, we couldn’t agree more.

Bachna Ae Haseeno

Can you be someone’s ‘forever wala love’? Well, going by the plot of Bachna Ae Haseeno, headlined by Ranbir Kapoor, it might seem impossible at first. But in the end, sab toh theek ho jaata hai, right? Even better than you imagined, as it did when Raj and Gayatri (Deepika Padukone) reunited!

Dil To Pagal Hai

You can’t deny the fact that Dil To Pagal Hai has been your source of solace on nights that seem longer than usual. Why? Because: “Kahin na kahin, koi na koi, mere liye banaya gaya hai…aur kabhi na kabhi main usse zaroor milungi.” And with that dialogue, Madhuri Dixit’s Nisha just guaranteed so much sukoon with respect to pyaar.

Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi’s Chandni is a classic, and we are with YRF when they say, “Petition to bring back the good-old love letter era”, in the caption of this post.

“Hum dono ne pehli baar ek doosre ko dekha.” That’s it. That’s about it. Yash Chopra’s Veer-Zaara, made timeless by Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, is testament to the fact that true love will always find a way to come back. Aakhir, aur option hi kya hai?

Hum Tum

If you’re struggling to confess your feelings this Valentine’s Day, Saif Ali Khan’s Karan in Hum Tum has some sound advice: “Aap kisi se kuch kehna chahte hain toh bas…keh dijiye. Don’t put it off. “Kahin na ho jaaye.”

Kabhi Kabhie

Kabhi Kabhie Mere Dil Mein Khayaal Aata Hai….We’ll leave it at that.

Thank you for these posts, Yash Raj Films. And also, Happy Valentine’s Day!
