Within the boundaries of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), numerous types of cables have been installed from lamp posts without authorization. It is noted that the lamp poles could collapse as a result.

The cables’ excessive weight also harms the pole. Similarly, these wires significantly hinder the city’s efforts to improve its appearance.

NMMC directs concerned agencies to remove unauthorized cables from electric poles

The NMMC’s electricity department is taking this matter seriously and has requested that all such cables be removed from the municipal territory within 15 days by all cable companies and Internet service providers.

The NMMC has made it clear that if the relevant cable operators and internet service providers don’t do this, the company would remove the cables and the cable operators and internet service providers will be held liable for any trouble this causes to the residents.
