Awards were given to Kartik Aaryan for his role in Satyaprem Ki Katha. In Satyaprem Ki Katha, Karthik’s character delves into the subtleties of life and the intricacies of unrequited love with Katha. In this poignant tale, Kartik is teamed with Kiara Advani and takes set in Ahmedabad. Aaryan’s captivating performance that stays with audiences throughout their journey earned him the Breakthrough Male Award.
Ananya Panday, on the other hand, captivated audiences with her performance in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Panday, one of the three protagonists in this slice-of-life story set in Mumbai, connected with audiences with her portrayal of a young woman negotiating the complexities of friendship, love, and ambition. She was selected Breakthrough Female because of the depth her relationship with co-stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav brought to the narrative.
Satyaprem ki Katha and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan are two movies that aptly demonstrate how Indian cinema is evolving and how storylines are crossing genre and boundary barriers. Aaryan and Panday’s performances not only brought life to their respective characters but also demonstrated their ability to become future titans of the business.
