Govinda and Sunita Ahuja Reportedly Considering Divorce After 37 Years of Marriage

Speculations are rife that Bollywood’s iconic ’90s star Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, may be parting ways after 37 years of marriage. While neither has officially confirmed or denied the rumors, sources indicate that the couple has been navigating significant challenges in their relationship.

Known for maintaining a low profile when it comes to their personal lives, Govinda and Sunita have often charmed fans with their lighthearted banter during public appearances. However, recent reports suggest that their marriage has been strained, with whispers of the couple living separately for some time.

Unverified sources claim that persistent disagreements and contrasting lifestyles have fueled frequent arguments, bringing their relationship to a breaking point. Sunita has been increasingly visible in the media lately, while Govinda has remained conspicuously absent. A report from The Now India hinted that their marriage is on the verge of collapse, with divorce appearing likely.

When approached for comment by News18 Showsha, neither Sunita Ahuja nor their daughter, Tina Ahuja, responded.

Are Govinda and Sunita Living Separately?

Last month, Sunita opened up about their living arrangements during an interview, shedding light on the state of their marriage. She revealed that she and Govinda reside in separate homes. While Sunita lives in an apartment with their children, Govinda stays in a bungalow located opposite their flat.

Explaining their decision to live apart, Sunita shared that she no longer feels the same sense of security in their marriage as she once did. Speaking to Pinkvilla Hindi Rush, she said, “We have two houses—a bungalow opposite our apartment. I live in the flat with my temple and my kids. Govinda often gets late after his meetings and enjoys socializing, often gathering a group of people to chat with. Meanwhile, my son, daughter, and I live together, but we hardly talk. I feel that too much talking can drain your energy.”

The couple’s decision to live separately and Sunita’s candid remarks have fueled further speculation about the future of their marriage. As fans await an official statement, the possibility of a divorce looms over their nearly four-decade-long union.
