To celebrate the century history of the Grand Ole Opry of Nashville, Tennessee, many superstars of nation music came to perform for NBC’s “Opry 100: A Dwell Celebration.” With loved artist Dolly Parton in no position to make it due to losing her husband of almost 60 years two weeks before, it remained up to somebody else to cause the party sensation. And Reba McEntire was more than happy to get behind the wheel. Unfortunately for the “I am a Survivor” singer, McEntire immediately again sported an incredibly perilous hair makeover.
Desires able to commence issues, McEntire showed up in a flashy coat, showy boots, and a fluffy, curly, too-perfect-to-be-true ponytail. Not only is McEntire’s beautiful pure hair not quite long enough to be pulled into such a bouncy style, but the piece itself does appear quite visibly fake.
This, however, did not take away from McEntire providing an amazing set of performances throughout the evening. There was the aforementioned duet with Trisha Yearwood, as well as McEntire performing “You Ain’t Girl Sufficient,” originally by the iconic Loretta Lynn. While McEntire paraded around the stage, sporting a a lot other than different wig than she sports on her current “Joyful’s Place,” there have been also loads of sweet nods to everyone’s beloved but absent star, Dolly Parton.

While Nashville queen Dolly Parton did not make an appearance for the celebratory event, all of nation music went on to remind her just how much she’s adored.
Parton was not there, certainly missing the absence of her husband Carl Dean, with whom Parton ended up meeting on her initial day in Nashville, but she still received several tributes throughout the evening. According to E! Online, Reba McEntire was among several country stars to extend warm words for Parton. “All individuals right here on the Opry and globally needs to ship you our ideas and prayers,” McEntire accepted, before continuing, “And also you gotta know, we are going to all the time love you.” She then performed Parton’s tune “I Will At all times Love You” with most of the other guests.
There’s plenty of excellent but secret information regarding Parton’s husband Dean and how they loved each other. While Dean barely ever saw Parton perform, the 2 had mostly been inseparable. In an article on X, formerly Twitter, Parton honored her late husband by stating, “Words cannot do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years.”. Thanks on your prayers and sympathy.” This was adopted by an Instagram put up thanking her “household, associates, and followers,” for every little thing they’ve despatched her within the wake of her tragic loss. She concluded with a message seemingly for each her supporters and her late husband: “I’ll all the time love you.”
The milestone brought together country music legends to honor the Opry’s rich history. However, the absence of beloved icon Dolly Parton, who recently lost her husband of nearly 60 years, left a poignant void. Stepping into the spotlight, Reba McEntire took charge as the evening’s host, delivering her signature charm and energy. Yet, all eyes were on McEntire’s bold—and somewhat risky—new hairstyle, which sparked mixed reactions online. Despite the hair debate, the night remained a heartfelt tribute to a century of country music magic.
